Northumberland Photo Training offers tailored courses for all abilities. I can teach one-to-one or small groups so that I can meet you at your level to ensure you get the best out of your training. I provide tuition from the basics of digital photography to advanced techniques. Digital post-production is taught using a state-of-the-art computer suite and photoshop and photoshop elements.
Most importantly I teach the art of natural photography. You’ll learn a new way to see the world and how to make beautiful photographs that document the story of the landscape as you pass through it.
My courses, from half day to 3 days are all set in the spectacular landscapes and seascapes of Northumberland.

I have been a professional photographer for over 5 years and during that time I have found my niche as a photo-journalist. I use the same approach in wedding photography, kids’ portraits and landscape photography.
I will always teach the traditional landscape photography techniques involving tripods, filters, planning and patience but there is a lot to be said for moving lightly through the landscape to absorb the atmosphere of the day and to come home with photographs that tell the story of that moment in that day.
This to me is the art of natural photography.
